It is almost two weeks since my six year old's Magic Themed birthday party and the household is still basking in after-party glow.  We can't even bring ourselves to take down the last standing balloon! 
The curriculum Arimaw uses for parties is geared developmentally so that the kids had a rich variety of activities (live animals they could touch) to making clay wands (with exciting textured beads) to magic tricks they could perform on their own! 
The children were given the magic tricks to keep and my birthday boy received a gift bag with additional tricks and a Harry Potter book that we are gloriously reading every night before bed.  These party favors should not even be termed favors.  They are the most substantial gifts I've ever seen given at a party and the kids truly felt valued and special. 
I believe the experience was so memorable because the curriculum and delivery of it so perfectly matched the fantasy world of the children.  It was like an individualized mini Disney Land experience brought to our home! As my son keeps saying "It was the best birthday ever!"  It really was.
