Times of Camps: Instruction is 5.5 hours per day: 9AM - 12PM; 12:30 - 2PM - times are flexible and can be adjusted to fit in with the particular facility. OUR MOST SUCCESSFUL CAMPS: (If you haven't booked these camps - you should consider them.) CAMPER AND TEACHER FAVORITES: * Runway Project From the sketch pad to the runway. Campers will design their own outfits, build them with fun and funky materials, and present them in a runway show. (Main and Teen Ages) * Top Cook Campers will go through Food Handlers Training and permitting, and then learn how to make several delicious and fun dishes. Menu's are prepared, and our restaurant is open at the end of the week, for family and freinds! This camp features delectable competitions with plenty of challenges. (Main and Teen Ages) * Pirate Camp Avast ye, and prepare for a week of fantasy and fun, as we learn the ways and wiles of being a pirate! Treasure hunts, gold, and plenty of adventure. Eye patch and peg-leg not required. (young and main) * Wizardry and Wizards A fun camp filled with magic, potions, magical recipes, puzzles, flight, crafts and presentations. Think you ave the magic touch, and you want to be a Wizard? This is the place to start. (Main) * Survival: Camp Tribes are formed and the fun begins! Competitions require teamwork and dedication to overcome obstacles, and build comradery. Everyone is a winner! No one gets voted off this island, but only one team can be the ultimate at survival. Based on a popular television series and we may even get to eat a bug. (Main and Teen) * CSI What does it take to be a detective? Learn about DNA, blood spatter, finger prints, and the elements of crime solving, with hands on activities that require teamwork and deductive reasoning. This year's crimes: The Case of the Missing Mascot and The Case of the Stolen Cookies. (Main) * Inventors Camp Start of with an idea and then create the most amazing inventions. Campers will have science programs, building activities, board game inventions and patenting original camper ideas. (Main) * Architecture Camp From bricks to sticks, toothpicks to clay sticks... design a building on paper and watch it come to life in an exciting model. (Main)* Claymation Each camper will create a story and storyline, build a backdrop and make a movie. Final movie presentation at the end of the week. (Main and Teen) * Kid's TV Write, star in, and film soap operas, news, comedies, documentaries and interviews. (Main)* Musical Theater Audition, rehearse, and put up an entire show for an audience! (main and teen) (Notes to Camp Directors: We can do this camp at your site OR we can do this camp at the Carlsbad Village Theater.) OUR REGULAR CAMPS: * Magic Camp Popular magic tricks will be broken down to their basic forms. You will have a full kit of magic to take home with you at the end of the week. (main) * Ceramics Create with clay! Our camp is one of the only ceramics camp that fires the student's artwork. Mold, paint, and present your own ceramics. * Film Camp Story boarding, rehearsing, directing and filming. Learn about how to make movies. (main) * Music Video Camp Stage and style your own music video to your favorite songs! Choreography, fashion, and music collide for outrageous fun. (main)* Superheroes Every day a different superhero. We will use various art forms to tell our stories. Puppetry, film, acting, music. We can also spend the week doing a single superhero: Batman, Spiderman, Aquaman, Superman.(young) * The AVATAR Earth, Fire, Water, Air. All the qualities the AVATAR needs to lead the nations. Divide into tribes and compete in various competitions. (main) [Based on the popular TV Show.]* Spy Kids We're spies, we thrive on Espionage. Our campers will learn how to become international men and women of mystery - gadgets and decoders included! (young and main) * Our Little Stars Sing, dance, act, and let your little star shine! (young)* Animals Planet Every day we will look at a different one of natures marvels. Mammals, Birds, Reptiles and we cap it off with a visit to the Zoo. (main) * Bubbles and Balloons A camp that deals with every kind of bubble and every kind of balloon, and there are billions of them! (young) * Can You Build It?/Jr. Builders Every day we will build "stuff." We will use sand, popcorn, bricks, food, trash - anything materials we can to build! (young) * Kid Genius University for kids! Let your genius be challenged. We will study Robots, Science, Architecture, and much more. (main)* Black Light Theater Indoor space needed. We will build and present a black light puppet show. Final presentation of Black light puppetry at the end of the week. (main) * Robots/Transformers/Tomorrowland We will spend the week exploring building and presenting the machines of the future. (main) NEW CAMPS: * Kid Nation Imagine a world with no adults. Laws are created by kids! Challenges and survival skills abound to create our own society. (main) * Fairies A magical camp complete with wands and dust. We will look at the worlds most famous fairies, build wands, wings and fairy dust. We will learn magic and figure out how to help people. A fun filled fantasy camp. (Notes; Fairy movie coming out next year.)* Treasure Trove Hunters Some Treasure has been hidden and our job is to find it. We will need to solve codes, mysteries and seek out the treasure. * Pet Detectives Caring for animals is vital! We will need to learn to think like an animal, and act like an animal to solve various crime scenarios involving our animal friends. One day visit to the Zoo. * Flower Arranging We will build our own flowers, out of paper and clay. We will paint and prepare decorations. We will also use real flowers to make amazing arrangements. (main) * On The Set Imagine getting a camera, acting and directing instruction, and then having to film and present a film. Every day will have a different theme. Campers will have to present a feature film. Film festival to be presented at the end of the week. (main and teen) [based on TV show.] * Cops/Police Academy Campers will get instruction on how to be police men and detectives. They will go through Police Academy training, and will learn the ropes of being a Police Officer, with some fun challenges and activities to one their skills.(main) * Dinner Theater Stage a show and prepare a meal! Friends and family will be treated to a meal and a show at the end of the week. * The Toy Store Emporium/The Wonder Emporium Design, build, and market toys! Make your own new and exciting toys which could be proudly sold at any Toy Store Emporium. Notes: movie coming out: Mr. Magorioms Emporium due out this winter. (main) * Bees and Other Bugs Bug Crafts, Actual Bugs and Bug Cooking. If it has to do with bugs -we will be exploring it. Day visit to the Zoo to see the new Bug Exhibit. (main) * Happily 'Ever After Every day we will play with a different fairy tale. We will use puppets, magic, art, costumes, film and drama to present our favorite fairy tales.
